Direct Prep Requirements
Direct Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is that time period prior to the celebration of the sacrament which focuses on the nature and meaning of the sacrament in the life of the Christian as well as preparing the individual and community to meaningfully celebrate the rite in the liturgical assembly."- Diocese of Syracuse.
There will be ten direct prep sessions offered in the spring of 2025, candidates are required to attend eight of them.
Three of these sessions will be designated as parent sessions*, parents/guardians must attend at least two of these with their child. These sessions will occur between the 8:00 AM & 10:30 AM Masses at St. Rose.
*Parent sessions do count towards the eight sessions that candidates must attend.
